Thanks. I just ripped all 4 titles that matched the run time reported. Then I skimmed through each of them and 815 is the only one that didn't have any repeats that I noticed so thank you for confirming that.

Are you using the Redbox rental too like zaraknid?

Just trying to decode what is working for the different ones. I am going to rip 821 from the Target Steelbook (should be the same as the non-steel ones) tonight, but I won't be able to test it for a few days as I am helping my parents load a moving truck tonight and then I am driving it just over 1000 miles on Friday so I will need to try to prioritize other things until I get back late Sunday (at least I am flying home).

Per another forum .815 is correct for the Redbox disc.

I am getting a very high audio skew on this disc (also my first time to use v 1.8.8 of the software). Is this normal? I have not seen audio skews longer than around 13-19 ms before, as dropping a frame would cut the skew down to at least that level, it seems. See below:

AV synchronization issues were found in file 'Z:/Movies/Ender's Game/Ender's Game.mkv' (title #162)

Does this "other forum" mention anything for the retail disc?

EDIT: SlySoft forums are confirming 815 for Redbox and 821 for US retail as was listed previous, so that seems like enough confirmation for me to go 821... :D

815 is the correct rental title, here is my quick tip for finding them.

After getting the exact runtime from a player (like TMT or a real player) I did a full backup of the disc. I found the 4 titles with the same runtime and typed out the segments like the OP did. I then browsed to the rip folder and just looked at the chunks in order, you can very quickly find the repeat segments without having to rip and and watch, by process of elimination I found 815. This all took about 10 minutes to complete.

I use this method for all movies like this, hopefully it helps the next person. :D

815 doesn't seem to have an HD audio track?

Lionsgate usually cripples rental discs. Certainly doesn't make me want to run out and buy it....

Gronnie is correct. It's sad but more and more studios are leaving off the HD audio tracks from the rental discs from Redbox and Netflix so you only get the lossy DD or DTS track. It's up to you to determine if it makes that much of a difference to buy the actual release just for the HD audio.

Don't blame just the studios. Netflix and RedBox are as much to blame as the studios. Netflix can buy retail blu-rays legally if they are willing to forgo the discount they get from the studios for the rental copies.

Fair enough, they're both equally to blame. Either way, it's unfortunate.

I don't make the distinction just to be argumentative. There is little that can be done about the studios selling discounted rental copies. But if enough Netflix and Redbox customers complain about getting inferior discs, then Netflix and Redbox might stop shortchanging their customers and refuse to buy neutered discs.

Still working on this.... mt copy 815.mpls (t149) only has DTS 5.1, but correct sequence:
513, 501, 504, 510, 505, 502, 514, 507, 506, 508, 509, 503, 511, 515, 512

As suggested 821 (t164) looked right and has full audio tracks, but segments 506 and 511 are reversed. At 30 min, at the end of the eating scene, it jumps when Ender is playing the mind-video game. Otherwise is correct. Anyone have an idea if there is still another track with full audio and the correct sequencing? Thanks J

You cannot skip through the movie and see the error. In MakeMKV I had many segments that had the same number of chapters so, stupidly, I encoded the first one (Ender's_Game_t01.mkv). When I watched it, there were two times when scenes were jumbled so that the order was incorrect. The first one is when he first plays the video game. The second one is when Graf first promotes him. I didn't see any others. I do not think you could tell with a fast forward but maybe.
