Downgraded to 1.8.2 and managed to get a complete rip. Seems to be more stable. On OSX 10.9 DP6

MakeMKV 1.8.4 crashing randomly on 10.9 DP6 with a Samsung external Bluray player with the error message "Fatal error occurred, program will now exit."
Crashing occurs too with the 1.8.3 version

This shoud be fixed in 1.8.5 . But please, if you get a crash on 10.9, please collect and submit a quick problem report per instructions at /onlinehelp/dump.html .

I am running OSX 10.9 beta 7 and MakeMKV 1.8.4. In trying to create a full core dump on OSX per the dump instruction page http://www.makemkv.com/onlinehelp/dump.html, but no cores.XXXX appear in terminal after following step 6. Instead, this is the message that I am getting in terminal when the error appears in MakeMKV:

*** set a breakpoint in malloc_error_break to debug

Hello,

I had the same issue with MakeMkv 1.8.3. I run OSX 10.9 Mavericks on my Mid-2009 MBP and every time I was trying to rip a DVD (French DVDs), the software crashed, announcing a fatal error.

I downloaded the 1.8.5 version but was not able to run it for awhile (the system blocked its execution as the developer of the software was somehow not identified to OSX - I ended up learning about how to circumvent this security block).

Finally, MakeMkv seems back to functioning properly (1 success so far).

Using 1.8.6 and 10.9. Whenever I try to change to default disc - either in the program or in preferences the program either freezes or crashes.

I've also been getting the fatal error on 10.9 Mavericks for months now. Works perfect on 10.8, but crashes a ton on 10.9. Hard to even get a single rip done.
