If it was sold legally in the US, there should at least be an FCC sticker with the registration number. That can be used to track down the manufacturer.

Ah, so it is unsupported in any way... Are you even sure it handles any text-based subtitle formats properly?

You'll have to use a tool to burn the subtitles into the video, then. Or find a site that has "fan sub" subtitles in one of the text-based formats that your player does support, and merge them into the MKV file with something like MKVToolnix.

ofcourse it supports subtitles just like ogs ones
vobsubs work fine if i make a mkv file from a dvd the subs work great
mike said his making a conversion feature eventually to convert blu ray subs to dvd than i'll be set.

Ah, this makes more sense now. PGS -> VobSub conversion is easier and more likely to be easily implemented than PGS -> text.

i agree
is there a program that can convert mkv pgs sub files to vobsub that does it without having to redo the entire mkv file again?
so i can just open the mkv file with the software and it converts the subs to vobsub on the fly?
