Thanks to everyone who followed the template and provided new disc dump files. All valid submissions have been processed and added to the public keydb.

The following UHD discs required new media keys:

Code: Select all

MKB20_v76_KOUYASAN_428A
MKB20_v82_VIVRE_UHD_BEF4
These UHD discs utilised known media keys and could've been processed on a self-serve basis with a tool such as SamuriHL's KeyDB Assistant:

Code: Select all

MKB20_v60_Amazing_Spider-Man_ECFB
MKB20_v61_Spider-Man_(2002)_AB99
MKB20_v61_Spider-Man_2_(2004)_C9FD
MKB20_v61_Spider-Man_3_(2007)_8347
MKB20_v61_Spider-Man-_Homecoming_8959
MKB20_v65_MARVEL'S_ANT-MAN_AND_THE_WASP_-_ULTRA_HD_EBF3
MKB20_v72_Alita-_Battle_Angel_FA71
MKB20_v77_The_Exorcist_9921
MKB20_v77_The_Exorcist-_Extended_Director's_Cut_AF8B
SamuriHL wrote: Fri Oct 30, 2026 2:02 pm Arguably that's a better method for creating dump files anyway for all discs as it ensures the right files are always present.
Yep, it would definitely be preferable. Aside from eliminating the incomplete MKB_RO.inf headache, the presence of the content hash tables and at least one hash unit identifies the occasional bus encryption glitch or unencrypted disc.
ng1988 wrote: Fri Oct 30, 2026 8:23 pm The UHD file cannot be opened at the moment, as it was only recently released. Here is a link for it.
Your disc was added to the public keydb on October 27. Please read on the opening post of this thread.
turbov6camaro wrote: Fri Oct 30, 2026 10:02 pm None of these disc IDs has a volume key in the keydb yet. Spider-Man 3 (2007) has a partial record (disc ID + unit key only, no V), so MakeMKV still reports "The volume key is unknown for this disc". The other five have no record under these disc IDs.
I really appreciate the effort you are putting into your submissions but you could've generated complete entries for all seven of your discs today with SamuriHL's tool as the relevant media keys have been in the public keydb for some time.

It is pretty slack to dump something onto the community because you don't know how to automate it and refuse to take a few seconds to perform a task manually. The community has provided the necessary keys and tooling for almost all of your discs. It would be appreciated if you could try to utilise them.

It took three hours after your Spiderman post for the discs to be added to the public keydb. You could've added all six discs in 1-2mins yourself without needing to post here.

I'm moving 2 week after divorce - I'm just try to digitize my collocation so i can watch my movies with disks in storage- I run the disks while I'm working, it pops out I put new one in until the stack is done, then i post real fast between meetings or lunch break so I'm not really in a rush.

I'll try and use the program but i have no idea what I'm doing with this - not my area at all - it will most likely take me way longer than 3 hours to figure it out lol this process in your instructions doesn't sound like 1-2 minutes for me, I'm just being honest about my skills here.

Sorry, I think there has been a bit of a mix-up. The process that I mentioned yesterday is only relevant for discs which are already natively supported by MakeMKV but do not have complete records in the public keydb. I wasn't requesting that you follow this process:
keydb_helper wrote: Fri Oct 30, 2026 11:53 am If anyone has any disc from this list of titles, it would be greatly appreciated if you could follow these steps and provide the resultant 'synthetic' disc dump file:
...
For your discs, I was requesting that you grab SamuriHL's KeyDB Assistant tool to generate the complete keydb record where possible. It is a one-click tool for that purpose.

@SamuriHL - does the KeyDB Assistant support generating complete keydb records from disc dump files which had been previously generated? I know there is a significant focus on processing locally available discs but I could've sworn this was supported functionality.

I hope things go as well as possible for you during such a busy time.

Yea if it detects a partial entry or no entry and it finds that the MK is known in the keydb, it’ll complete the record. Partial entries without a vuk, as you know, don’t work with makemlv so the tool tries to fill in the gaps where it can.

Obviously my tool doesn’t contain any keys on its own. It can only generate missing info if the MK is already in the keydb that findvuk downloads.

EDIT man way too early for me to be replying. lol I missed what you were actually asking til I reread it. No keydb assistant doesn’t do anything with disc dumps at all.

Thanks for helping to tick off one of the keydb priority titles dagwed. In addition to your disc, there are three other disc variants which should benefit from the new media key.

Sorry for any confusion Digital moe. You are correct that your discs did not have complete records in the keydb at the time of your post. My intent was to convey that complete records for your discs could've been generated with the KeyDB Assistant tool as the media keys were already known. I wasn't trying to have a go at you or anyone else, it was meant purely as an advisory comment.
