Help with BU40N drive not showing up in SDFtool Flasher (v1.3.6)

Hi, I am new to disc ripping and trying to flash my optical drive so I can read 4K UHD Blu-rays.

I’m running into an issue where SDFtool Flasher (v1.3.6) does not show my drive in the "Please select a Drive" dropdown menu, even though MakeMKV detects it without any issues.

Drive Model: HL-DT-ST BD-RE BU40N

Platform: MT1959

Device is located in my device manager. I have also tried using SATA-USB on my main PC, as well as installing into my laptop connecting to the motherboard. same result/issue.

any advice or guidance in the right direction would be greatly appreciated. Also i am able to provide more screenshots or give more device information if needed

Ensure you are not using MakeMKV v2.0.0. Install v1.18.4 in the default location.

I found a download link for an older version, but it says I cannot use due to an expired version. How do I bypass?

ahhh nvm, i must have had a typo with the key... thankyou for your help, got me ripping my 4k LOTR collection now (:
