So someone hacked his account and took the time to update the official release post here on this forum? If so, for what? Mine updated automatically from the Linux repository. I've ripped several discs so far with no issues. (Granted my drives have already been flashed)

Hi there! I tried your tool with MakeMKV 2.0.0 on Win11 (german) but it failed to find the sdftool program so everything else failed too.

I believe someone posted making a copy of sdftool and renaming the copy to add 64 at the end makes it work

what if i flashed the wrong firmware and when i go to flash the correct firmware Nothing shows up in the drive drop down tab?

I have a question regarding SDFtool Flasher. I've set up MakeMKV v. 1.18.4 and it posts the information regarding my blu ray:

OS device name: D:
Manufacturer: HL-DT-ST
Product: BD-RE BU40N
Revision: 1.02
Serial number: MO3OBTI2959
Firmware date: 2120-12-01 17:16
Bus encryption flags: 1F

LibreDrive Information
Status: Possible (with patched firmware)
Drive platform: MT1959
Harware support: Yes
Firmware support: No
Firmware type: Original (patched version available)
Firmware version: 1.02
DVD all regions: Possible (with patched firmware)
BD raw data read: Possible (with patched firmware)
BD raw metadata read: Possible (with patched firmware)
Unrestricted read speed: Possible (with patched firmware)

So, following setting up MakeMKV, I downloaded and set up SDFtool Flasher v1.3.6 and after a few missteps, I thought I had it running. I selected my drive, the WRITE option which checked both MT1959 Platform and Encrypted Firmware and I selected DE_LG_BU40N_1.03_MK.bin from the bundled firmware files (I did the download of 2 of these and there is a second .bin file available.

However, once all the settings were made, I hit START and nothing happened. There were no messages or any other activity - I could hit start multiple times and nothing happens.

Has anyone reported this issue or can you suggest something I may have missed?

use the Asus Modified Flasher, instead of the SDFTool flasher....

SDFtool Flasher is fine, but please do not use MakeMKV 2.0.0. Use MakeMKV 1.18.4 instead : https://makemkv.com/download/old/Setup_ ... 1.18.4.exe

The Asus flasher does not support encrypted fw

So, following setting up MakeMKV, I downloaded and set up SDFtool Flasher v1.3.6 and after a few missteps, I thought I had it running. I selected my drive, the WRITE option which checked both MT1959 Platform and Encrypted Firmware and I selected DE_LG_BU40N_1.03_MK.bin from the bundled firmware files (I did the download of 2 of these and there is a second .bin file available.

However, once all the settings were made, I hit START and nothing happened. There were no messages or any other activity - I could hit start multiple times and nothing happens.

Has anyone reported this issue or can you suggest something I may have missed?

Is this an Archgon by any chance? If so, the enclosure doesn't allow drive flashing unless you flash the enclosure first.
