I just bought a new Verbatim 43889 (out of the box) and want to flash it so I can start ripping 4K UHD Blu-rays with MakeMKV.
The drive is detected by Windows and by MakeMKV itself, but the SDF tool is having problems.
When I open the SDF tool I get this error:
An error occurred trying to start process 'C:\Program Files (x86)\MakeMKV\sdftool64.exe' with working directory 'C:\Users\Weiyi\AppData\Local\Temp\Rar$EXa20852.11408.rartemp'. The system cannot find the file specified

A popup appears saying I can continue and the application will ignore the error. (tried both v1.3.5 & v1.3.6)
If I press Continue, the drive does not appear in the dropdown menu at all.
A few details:

Drive is brand new, never used before
Windows and MakeMKV both see the drive normally
I extracted the SDF tool from a RAR (the path in the error shows a temporary RAR extraction folder)
I have also downloaded the All you need firmware Pack by MartyMcNuts
Questions:
Do I need to install any special drivers first for the Verbatim 43889?
Is the error caused by running the tool from the temporary RAR folder instead of a proper extracted location?
Anything else I should check or do before trying to flash it?
I’m setting this up so I can build a self-hosted movie library from the 4K Blu-rays my dad and I used to watch together. I’d really hate to have wasted money on this drive if it can’t be made to work.
Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!
