Standalone Rokus have less compatibility than Roku TVs. I found this out because I had an MKV video that played audio on my Roku TV but not my standalone Roku.
The fix is sweet.
When ripping a DVD (at least, not sure about Blu-ray), select Profile "AAC-stereo" on the extreme right side under "Make MKV" button.
Apparently MakeMKV converts audio (I know it doesn't convert video) because when I used that, my MKVs played audio where they did not before.
I thought I had to manually convert all the files to AAC audio...saves a lot of work!!!
