@Billycar11 I am currently in the market for a UHD drive. Specifically Pioneer BDR-S13UBK or BDR-2213 with old/compatible firmware, tested for UHD ripping in MakeMKV. I know these are rare, if these are not available point me in the direct of a drive that you would recommend that is just as good. I'm aware you recommend the pioneer through previous threads. However, I am open to recommendations.

Hi Billy, I tried emailing you but didn't hear back. I was trying to read through the various forums and was a little unclear on the current state of getting a drive capable of ripping a 4k disc. Are there still drives out there for purchase that you sell? If so, I'd be interested in purchasing one.

Not Billy, he ran out earlier this year. Read the top of the first page for info.

However, there is a seller on eBay named "mediadrivesolutions" selling new LG BU40N drives, Buffalo branded, and pre-flashed ready to go. Search for Buffalo BRXL-PUS6U3B and you should be able to find it. It's $250, so if you want to save money and do your own flashing, Adorama recently restocked and is selling the drive for $169, and Microcenter if you have one close by.

and would like old fw on there pioneer drive can now do so for free.
just email me in the same chain as the order and i will send over the flasher to now downgrade it
this apply's to xd08 mostly all others were shipped with old fw already there may be a few xs07 too
we are also testing x13ux flashing for the few who bought those

Same price as the original and now supports downgrading

My flasher has no online drm or Internet connection requirements as other flashers do

Dang, I was just at the Houston Microcenter today and could have grabbed some. I already have 3 flashed LG slim drives (1x BP50NB40 and 2x BP60NB10). I'm just paranoid they're going to die... wish I could offer to pick up copies for people in this forum, but it's like a 2.5 hour round trip for me to go to Microcenter.
