The first week of July I purchased the 4K Blu-ray version of Casablanca (upc code 883929788590). I attempted to rip it using MakeMKV with one of my supported optical drives. The rip was not successful – The volume key is unknown for this disc. I attached the AACS dump file MKB20_v77_Casablanca_4B2D.tgz to an email and sent it to the appropriate email address so MakeMKV could process it and add my disc to its known files. I have been on the latest version (v1.18.4).
Tomorrow is September 1st and Casablanca 4K is still not recognized by MakeMKV. I sent a second dump file mid-July just in case the first email didn’t make it to its final destination.
I have had to send dump files for other 4K UHD discs that were newly released - and understandably not yet found. Within a week or two they are were found and ripped successfully. Casablanca is the only 4K I cannot rip out of my 200+ 4K discs.
Here are the results attempting to rip in MakeMKV with logging turned on.
