Hello I recently purchased a Verbatim 43888 and tried to use MakeMKV to test it out on one of my 4k disks. It read the disk but wouldn't open for me to rip. So I did the process to flash the drive. I followed all the steps I could find online including YouTube videos. It doesn't matter which BU40N file I pick. Now it won't even read a 4k disk but it can a bluray.
I tired 3.0 and type c ports. Even got a powered USB hub to try that out and nothing gets it to read the disks.
I am stumped and hope someone can help.

You can start by pasting the text from the MakeMKV drive info and libredrive info sections.KCSsFactor wrote: Fri Aug 21, 2026 10:51 pm Hello I recently purchased a Verbatim 43888 and tried to use MakeMKV to test it out on one of my 4k disks.
