Edit: Is there a way to submit to the keydb from Linux? After posting this, I noticed there were other versions of this same disc with the same date that all had the same media key, so I tried applying that media key to the volume ID from the dump, and lo and behold, I got a working VUK.

Hey rkjnsn, I believe MrPenguin and a few other Linux users have had success with FindVUK via Wine. I don't have any saved links or notes but you might be able to find some instructions on this forum or possibly Doom9.

  • You must include the MKB_RO.inf file from the AACS folder on your disc
  • Place the extracted keydb.cfg file in the same directory as your disc dump files

I haven't actually tried it with wine yet, but given that my setup is linux-only, I'm curious. I'll see if I can get this working and report back.
