Hi, i'm extremely new to the MakeMKV scene. Immediately after i got my Verbatim 43888 i succesfully ripped a dvd, Locke The Superhuman: The mirroring; a PAL copy, on MPEG-2 format.
I tried VLC first to see the files, and it played the files's....audio, and only the audio. The video doesn't play at all, and if it plays VLC displays a really washed up image of it. Tried enabling VLC integrating in MKV....same result. Then i tried playing it from Windows media player, and it worked well! No washed up or missing video!
Do you have any idea why VLC is making such a problem from something like this?
Vlc doesn't play Video from MKV, or plays it washed up
Re: Vlc doesn't play Video from MKV, or plays it washed up
UPDATE: The interlace option was the culprit of my problem; after disabling it, it all went fine.

i've had playback issues with the vlc player. if you have future issues with it, i would suggest the free elmedia player. overall it's just a better player (can hover over the timeline to see preview thumbnails) and i've never had issues with it.
