i had this issue for the first time with makemkv. makemkv seems to have not "seen" the first half (about 500 MB) of the first vob file. the finished mkv movie simply didn't contain the first approximately 25 minutes of the movie. no error messages were given while makemkv was making the mkv file. the mkv file plays perfectly fine - it just begins about 25 minutes into the movie.
i had never had this happen before. does anyone have any ideas as to what is going on with this? tia

here is some additional information. i ran makemkv directly on the dvd (before i was working from a video ts folder that was copied onto my hdd). same issue. here is what the dialogue box says:
title #1 has a length of 10 seconds which is less than the minimum length of 120 seconds and was therefore skipped
cells 1-16 was removed from the start
title #2 was added (126 cells, 1:09:37)
operation successfully completed
my guess is that the missing first minutes of the movie is due to the cells 1-16 being removed from the start.
the movie is about 3 GB, but makemkv is making the mkv from 2.4 GB of it.
