Is it possible to recover my drive? (LG BP50NB40 NB50)

Post by zenkoala »

I attempted to flash my drive last night following the guides available here on the forum, but appear to have bricked it. Since this is an NB50 drive, I followed the "BP50NB40 to > BP50NB40-NB50-1.03MK then to > BP60NB10 1.02MK" update path and saw LibreDrive was enabled, so I assumed it was successful at that point.

Admittedly, I didn't realize that there was a GUI SDFtool available until today when I found that my drive would not open so it's possible that I entered something wrong in the CLI last night. Of note, I get an error in the GUI SDFtool flasher when I select my drive "Input string was not in correct format" but it doesn't throw an error when I attempt to flash the drive.

My drive is recognized by MakeMKV/SDFtool and will accept flash commands, but I can't seem to get the drive to recover. I've also attempted to use the Official LG flasher, but it doesn't recognize my drive. Is it possible to come back from this?

Okay, I'll be emailing you shortly

The drive doesn't recognize Blu-Rays in its current state.
