submitted the uhd `tgz` for this.
Shows, collector's edition but essentially, it's the one with both UHD and BluRay.
Submitted - Super Mario Galaxy Movie - UHD
Re: Submitted - Super Mario Galaxy Movie - UHD
I'm quoting this from another post, but this worked for my UHD version.Have you tried downloading the latest KEYDB.cfg file, copying it into MakeMKV's data directory (i.e. where MakeMKV also writes its TGZ dump files) and restarting MakeMKV?
If this doesn't work, perhaps also upload your TGZ dump file into a file host such as OneDrive or Google Drive please, and then replying with a public download link? This would allow people to try adding your disk to the KEYDB.cfg file.
the BluRay one already worked.
Re: Submitted - Super Mario Galaxy Movie - UHD
This is what I did. I have the Collector's Edition (I'm not even sure what that is) but when it did not open the disc I downloaded the keydb cfg file, restarted makemkv, and it worked fine.GarbDev wrote: Tue Jun 09, 2026 11:18 pmI'm quoting this from another post, but this worked for my UHD version.Have you tried downloading the latest KEYDB.cfg file, copying it into MakeMKV's data directory (i.e. where MakeMKV also writes its TGZ dump files) and restarting MakeMKV?

Re: Submitted - Super Mario Galaxy Movie - UHD
I'm having trouble with this exact disc ("No disc") even after retrieving latest KeyDB.cfg and restarting.
BP60NB10.
This is the only disc that has manifest an issue with a completely undetected disc. The disc seems to play fine in my XBox Series X.
Anyone have any advice?

Re: Submitted - Super Mario Galaxy Movie - UHD
Have you tried gently cleaning the disc? Sometimes even brand new, just-out-of-the-package discs need a cleaning before they'll work properly.. kilo wrote: Wed Jul 01, 2026 3:41 am I'm having trouble with this exact disc ("No disc") even after retrieving latest KeyDB.cfg and restarting.

Re: Submitted - Super Mario Galaxy Movie - UHD
Australian UHD submitted.
Disc details:
Title: The Super Mario Galaxy Movie
Region: Australia
Catalog number: UHD843171
AACS MKB Version: 82
MakeMKV: 1.18.3
LibreDrive: Enabled
Latest public KEYDB.cfg still reports:
"The volume key is unknown for this disc - video can't be decrypted."
I've emailed the following dump to svq@makemkv.com:
MKB20_v82_The_Super_Mario_Galaxy_Movie_8338.tgz
Hopefully this helps if the Australian pressing uses a different Volume ID to the other releases.
