Buffalo BRXL-16U3 Flashing issue

Having some issues with flashing this drive



It is in an usb enclosure

I originally flashed to this HL-DT-ST-BD-RE_BU40N-1.03, no issues flashing
Then disc drive wouldn't open (was working before)
Looked around the forums some more and saw that people were flashing to this instead

HL-DT-ST-BD-RE_WH16NS60-1.02

I tried hitting recovery and using this other firmware and everytime it finishes flashes almost instantly and nothing changes.
Light on the enclosure is green but the light above the actual disc drive is not on. Tried a paperclip in the 'Emergency open', no luck

I have tried power cycling and restarting PC, not really sure what else to do. I crated a firmware dump before the first flash although I don't know what that really does...
Help me unbrick this please

and read and follow the prompts carefully
when it asks for the wrong fw put the bu40n one in

Hello were you able to get the Buffalo BRXL-16U3 working again
I am thinking of purchasing one. If you got it working can you please post what you did to finally get it to work

Yup got it up and running, works like a charm! Think if you just directly flash to the HL-DT-ST-BD-RE_WH16NS60-1.02 firmware you can avoid the issues I was having

Flash directly to WH16NS60 1.02-MK. One and done. After that the encrypted box on the SDFlasher tool will have a red X next to it, and the drive will rip UHD. I just did two of them this week.
