CPD-002 could not be read by MakeMKV

Disc CPD-002 (Japanese pro-wrestling) could not be read by MakeMKV.

It keeps retrying but never manages to read the disc, and is unable to rip it. DVD Decryptor worked okay.

Once ripped, MakeMKV was able to open the ISO and extract the video. I tried two different Pioneer ODDs.

did you try different opening modes?

It's impossible to select a mode, because it get stuck in a loop trying to recognize the disc.

It is often recommended to let the OS see the disc before opening MakeMKV.

Is there any way to get the developer to take a look at this disc? I can send it to them.

then start MakeMKV without the disc being in the drive and set the opening mode beforehand.
