All optical/USB drives are compatible with Mac minis (all Apple computers). Thunderbolt is USB-C compatible. Worst case you *may* need a different USB cable or USB-A -> USB-C adapter.

Anything Billy has available should work just fine with your Mac mini.

I have a flashed 212XLT from Asmcom that came in a Vantec. No issues.

The ero drives may have a better PSU but I'm just not willing to risk it as I said a few days ago

just wanted to say thank you to @Billycar11 for the flashing software. Also for simply being a cool guy, providing answers to questions he's probably received a billion and one times.
I happened to get lucky on an eBay listing and took the chance, seeing that it's already starting to get fairly difficult finding the pioneer drives. Thanks again!!

I think i caught up on the thread (skimmed since my last post in Dec) and it doesn't look like remote flashing is available for my drive yet but can be flashed in person if i'm reading right? Is this ship in service something you've started now that stock is low (seems it was mentioned at one point but never committed to)? If so, what's the cost? Drive info below:

I have ran the tool and completed the command line attempt, Everything comes back successful. I cannot get this BU50N to swap to a BU40N. I have tried both the BU40N_1.00 and the BU40N_1.03_MK in the old "all you need Firmware Pack" and the BU40N-1.03-NM...... .bin file. I cannot for the life of me get this thing to swap over. this is the drive info after all of the flashing is completed.
