I also have a Pioneer Drive I picked up a couple years ago. With a brand new NAS and budding UHD collection, I would like to learn how to setup my drive to read my UHDs. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi Coopervid,

I have a Pioneer BDR-UD03 drive (manufactured December 2015) in a USB 3.0 external housing. I am looking to enable UHD/LibreDrive capability so I can rip/play my 4K Marvel collection on my HTPC.

Could you please provide the instructions and necessary firmware for this drive?

Most likely a power issue since these enclosures are very power hungry. Try an USB-C port , use the rear USB-C ports of a desktop or a powered USB hub.

yes, the power was the problem. I ordered a separate power adapter and with it, it works.
