No worries - your submissions were fine apart from that uniqueness issue.

Open up your local keydb.cfg file in a text editor and search a disc ID from your set (Eg: 0xD0B73588A895ED9A8CE4FEF68A0A2ABA9AA95754).

If you don't find a match, it means your keydb.cfg file is too old. Follow the steps linked in the opening post of this thread to grab the latest keydb file. Don't forget to unzip it after downloading.

If you find a match, you've probably put the keydb.cfg file in the wrong location. It should be in the same folder where MakeMKV generated your disc dump files.

If the keydb.cfg file is in the correct folder, you may need to rename the keydb.cfg file to KEYDB.cfg to accommodate MakeMKV's search behaviour on case sensitive file systems.

anon.eh.mous.user is using Linux, so I don't think he can use SamuriHL's tool:

Code: Select all

MKB20_v82_STRANGENEWWORLDS_SEASON3_7681 - log.txt:
Debug log started at Wed Mar 25 12:52:35 2026 , written by MakeMKV v1.18.3 linux(x64-release)

Please read the instructions in the opening post Andy. Your particular disc was added to the public keydb over a week ago.

Hey Andy, your disc was added to the public keydb on March 21. Don't bother posting to this thread again, I'm just going to assume any of your future posts are duplicate submissions which can be ignored.

I literally downloaded it, replaced it in the folder, restarted the program and tried to rip it again and it wouldn’t rip. I then searched the forum for the disc name and no result came up. I would apologize but your attitude sucks. Go take a pill.

Skill issue. Apparently not everyone is capable of downloading, unzipping, and copying a file.

I don't give a fuck mate. Useless pricks like you contribute nothing to the forum or project. Meanwhile, the vast majority of users here can readily follow instructions and facilitate expanding the public keydb.

Well god damn. My bad for being new at something and picking up a new hobby! My apologies for not being born with the innate knowledge of ripping UHDs. Keep up the good work! I’m sure you’ll get tons of donations to the project this way!

It isn't a matter of innate knowledge. Reading comprehension, civility and forum etiquette seem to be the key points of differentiation between yourself and the productive forum members.

I have never and will never seek donations and I have no stake or interest in any commercial ripping software. I wish I could say I have no idea why you'd think otherwise, but I'm pretty sure the answer is related to the aforementioned comprehension issue.

Repeatedly submitting titles which have already been supported for some time isn't fine etiquette. It is also not self loathing to be annoyed by fuckwits who can't follow the same submission process as almost every other forum user.

Almost any doctor would read our exchange and beg to differ. I’m done though. Have a nice day!

I figured out the problem. My ISP blocks downloading the HKs, so even though I had the latest keydb.cfg, out of date HKs was causing the problem. I had to use a VPN to successfully download the latest HKs and then the disc rips. I will follow that process in the future. Thanks again!

Thanks for the suggestion, but I'm running on CachyOS (Linux), and that program is Windows-only. I know how to update the keydb.cfg correctly - the problem was my ISP is blocking the download of new HKs. I used a VPN to get around that and now the discs are ripping. But thanks for the tip!!!
