I have an Asus BW-16D1HT (an old drive in a 10-year-old PC, both the drive and the computer are very worn out) and an LG BU40N and Verbatim 44888 with a Pioneer BDR-UD04. In my experience, the Pioneer is slower but more accurate. The LG, on the other hand, is definitely faster. I also rip CD-Audio discs with both drives, and the LG handles this task with ease. What's more, the LG returns potential C2 errors, while the Pioneer does not, which in the case of CD-AUDIO is better in the LG's performance.
