I am also having the same problem with Entertainment One (EOne) DVDs.
Using version 1.18.1 of MakeMKV and a windows 11 laptop. (tried previous versions of MakeMKV as mentioned but they do not work either).
MKV Detects the DVD but fails to open - The DVD can be played with VLC:
MakeMKV v1.18.1 win(x64-release) started
Using direct disc access mode
Calculated BUP offset for VTS #0 does not match one in IFO header.
IFO file for VTS #0 is corrupt, VOB file must be scanned. This may take very long time, please be patient.
Failed to open disc

I am able to rip the disc in MakeMKV using older version 1.16.7 (hosted at videohelp.com).
As there are other reports of this happening with other discs I'll make a new thread for that topic.
This worked for me also.

I had a similar issue with the 1.18 series, The DVDs that I was looking at were looking to take over an hour to scan. It is unusual as I had ripped them before and don't remember it taking so long. So I downloaded 1.16.7 and it is now back to ~5-10 min to scan.
