ASUS BW-16D1X-U - How to Flash

Just purchased an ASUS BW-16D1X-U to replaced my LG wh16ns40 that died. Is it possible to flash this drive to rip UHD discs?

It sounds like I have to first flash the ASUS 3.10 firmware since this is encrypted. Looking for some guidance, thanks!
