Hi I finally remembered I asked my question about Pioneer BDR 208 Drive months ago on this site. This is my MakeMKV info. Hope it will all work out as I'd like to flash it for UHD Ripping.

I've a problem with a BDR-208DBK which isn't firmware specific.

It opens the tray after pressing the button only with disc inside. Without disc it trys to unlock but without success. When I use the emergency opening only to unlock and press the button the try opens and close without a problem also.

I've not so much expierience to comprehend the several mechanic connections. I can push manually the white slider which is moving the laser plattform and opens the tray.
This part also is pushing a little blue slider? Is the problem to find there?

What can I do?

I've fixed a lot of old DVD recorders with a similar issue. There's a magnet that locks the disc onto the spindle motor. It sits in the roof of the disk drive. It literally sandwiches the disc onto the spindle motor. Stops it bouncing off the walls when it spins up the disc. The laser pickup has to drop for the tray to eject. Sometimes the magnet won't let go of the spindle motor. The spindle motor is part of the laser pickup. If it can't drop the laser pickup. It will block the tray from ejecting. That's why it still ejects, with a disc inside. The disc is in between the magnet and the spindle motor. The disc is reducing the magnetic field and allowing the laser pickup to drop. You can place two pieces of 70gsm paper in front of the magnet. This will have the same affect as having the disc inside. The magnets usually inside a plastic cap, inside the roof. You should be able to take it apart and place 2 pieces of paper inside. It will still lock the disc in place when it spins too. Be aware; the magnet has a polarity. Make sure you place the magnet back, in the right way. The right way, is the way the magnet pulls on the spindle motor. I made this mistake once and panicked when I heard my DVD bouncing around!
