Why are you posting this? Your drive is already UHD capable. Nothing to do. Just insert a UHD disc and start ripping.

Sorry. Bit of a noob. I tried to rip a disk but it didn't work. So I thought I needed to do something to the drive.

No, the drive is fine. Try providing some info about what actually happens when ripping. Are yo getting read errors? Something else? Copy and paste the MakeMKV log window text.
