Hi Cooper,

I have both Pioneer BDR-209D and BDR-209M drives. My OS on both computers is Windows 10, but for some reason I cannot access the System Information of the optical drives. I tried both Device Manager and System Information. The details of the drives are not showing on the right pane of each window. Any assistance is greatly appreciated. I'm trying to get you the drive information of both drives, so I can see if I can flash them.

Thank you, sir.
You need to install Makemkv and run it. It will show then the information you should post.
Thank you, Cooper, for the guidance. Please see below:

Is it better to have two Pioneer BDR 209-DBKs or one Pioneer BDR 209-DBK and one LG BU40N? I have a limited budget and have to decide between one of these two options.
Your decision. The Pioneer will rip hard to read discs while thr BU40 will rip faster when there is no problem to read the disc. 209 can be flashed to read UHDs as well. I personally would go with the Pioneers and flash both for UHD.
Now i have the two drives:

Hey!

I emailed Billycar directly already but wasn't sure if I should've posted here first. I saw these drives could possibly be flashed for UHD Blu-ray ripping in the makemkv forms. I have a BU40N, but even after cleaning it stopped reading blu-rays in general. I remembered I had the BDR-208D laying around and it works perfectly(used a handful of times). So is it possible for 4K Blu-rays? Here are the specs from makemkv:

Manufacture date: March 2013

Drive Information
OS device name: E:
Manufacturer: PIONEER
Product: BD-RW BDR-208D
Revision: 1.10
Serial number: XXXXXXXXXXXX
Firmware date: 2012-08-22
Bus encryption flags: 13
Highest AACS version: 38

LibreDrive Information
Status: Enabled
Drive platform: RS8301
Firmware name: PIONEER BDR-208
Firmware type: Original (unpatched)
Firmware version: 1.10/ID61
DVD all regions: Yes
BD raw data read: Yes
BD raw metadata read: Yes
Unrestricted read speed: Yes
