Hi Guys
Hope everyone had a good Christmas if you celebrate.
I'm an old hand with MakeMKV and encounter very few issues, most of which I've resolved with either a serious disc clean or a replacement disc, but I've hit an actual problematic title (I think).
The affected disk is 'Delivery Man' - disc label EO51767DP. As soon as the initial scan starts (before having retrieved the list of chapters/titles) the process aborts within 23 seconds. The debug log reports:
MakeMKV v1.18.2 darwin(arm64-release) started
Debug logging enabled, log will be saved as /Users/user/MakeMKV_log.txt
Optical drive "BD-RE PIONEER BD-RW BDR-XS07 1.01 AFDL003176WLd" opened in OS access mode.
Downloading latest SDF to /Users/user/Library/MakeMKV ...
Using LibreDrive mode (v02.1 id=A470FBFD375E)
Using direct disc access mode
Calculated BUP offset for VTS #0 does not match one in IFO header.

IFO file for VTS #0 is corrupt, VOB file must be scanned. This may take very long time, please be patient.

Failed to open disc
I put this down to a faulty disc after some regular troubleshooting, but having sourced a replacement, it generates exactly the same error, which I presume means it's a protection/authoring issue.
Is there anything I can do to make this thing work/gather useful information?
Many thanks!
'Delivery Man'
Re: 'Delivery Man'
You could try the different DVD opening modes.
Re: 'Delivery Man'
Thanks. I did try the three different methods via manual selection but it's the exact same outcome every time in the shortest timeframe I've ever seen MakeMKV fail. It takes three seconds from pressing the open disc button to it failing/halting any further scan. Really bizarre.
