This should be already UHD enabled. Download the latest SDF.bin and add it to the MakeMKV data directory (where dumps are generated) then power off the drive and restart MakeMKV.
Cheers

I downloaded the lastest SDF.bin. Placed it where the dumps get generated (i.e. C:\Users\(me)\.MakeMKV)
Did all the tricks for about an hour, in every possible order, i.e. turned off drive for 5+ seconds. Rebooted computer. Restarted MakeMKV. Uninstalled MakeMKV. Deleted .MakeMKV folder. Used BD in drive. Used 4K UHD in drive. Nothing worked.
FW dumped. I sent it.
What do I do now?

Ok, if it generated a FW dump and you've sent it to support@makemkv.com, now you just have to wait. Check every couple of days for a new SDF.bin.Qaenos wrote: ↑Mon Dec 22, 2025 12:42 amI downloaded the lastest SDF.bin. Placed it where the dumps get generated (i.e. C:\Users\(me)\.MakeMKV)

Re: Need service for Pioneer BDR-X13JX
Thank you for your guidance and continued development work.
I'm also curious if the Pioneer BDR-X13J-X has been successfully enabled, as I have also recently acquired one and I am unsure on how to proceed with flashing since the Drive Platform is `Pioneer RS9401` rather than the advised `MT1959` from the guide: viewtopic.php?t=19634
Perhaps it would be best to also request a flashing service for myself as I am on macOS Sequoia 15.7.3 whereas the guide advices to use MakeMKV v1.17.7, which on my end states that the application is too old.
I'm uncertain on how one generates a Firmware Dump on the Pioneer RS9401 drive, or would a firmware flashing service be the recommended path?

Wishing you all happy winter holidays.

1. There is no flashing for your drive.rayanamukami wrote: ↑Mon Dec 29, 2025 7:36 pmThank you for your guidance and continued development work.

2. MT1959 drive platform is for LG drives, not Pioneer.
3. First of all, I suggest you download the latest SDF.bin https://makemkv.com/sdf.bin, place it in the MakeMKV data directory (where disc dumps are generated) then reboot the drive and restart MakeMKV. The SDF.bin file will be absorbed in to the private_data.tar file and hopefully your drive will then be enabled. If it's still not libredrive enabled, if you insert a blu-ray disc, MakeMKV should automatically generate a FW dump in it's data directory. This dump should be emailed to support@makemkv.com for processing, which generally takes a few days.
Cheers
