Could you provide a public download link for this TGZ dump file please, if you wish your disk to be added to the public KEYDB file?

Not sure if this is the correct place for this, but the disc returned an error saying that a newer version of AACS protection was in use & was unsupported.

Yes, but this is the "Public KeyDB Disc Submissions" thread. Emailing your dump to svq@makemkv.com allows MakeMKV to add your disk to its own hashed keys database, but not to the public KEYDB file. If you would like KEYDB to support your disk as well then can you upload your disk into (say) OneDrive or Google Drive please, and then reply with a public download link?

MKB20_v77_EVANGELION-2_22_YOU_CAN_(NOT)_ADVANCE_(4K_Ultra_HD_Blu-ray)_330C.tgz
Thanks, both of these disks are already in the latest public KEYDB.cfg file. Just download KEYDB.cfg, copy it into MakeMKV's data directory (i.e. where MakeMKV also writes its TGZ dump files) and restart MakeMKV, and MakeMKV should then be able to decrypt your disks.

Hey Jay, thanks for submitting that disc dump file. You did everything right, but MakeMKV seems to have run into an issue whilst generating that disc dump file.

Could you please move that dump file out of MakeMKV's data directory, completely power off your disc drive, restart your computer and generate a new disc dump file? Feel free to post the newly generated disc dump file to this thread whenever you get a chance.

There is no need to change any MakeMKV setting or drive firmware. I believe the cause was either a transient issue or possibly a quirk of your particular disc.

Apart from Thunderbirds, I believe all other submissions have been processed and added to the public keydb:

Code: Select all

MKB20_v77_Scars_of_Dracula_8354
mkb20_v82_daylight_9e16
mkb20_v82_hellraiser_e90e

Please don't attach disc dump files to forum posts, it creates work for the moderators and cause issues. There are many free public file hosts. Swisstransfer, Wetransfer, Mediafire etc are all fine choices for the purposes of the keydb.

There is no need to make posts like this in the public keydb submission thread. There isn't really an email address for keydb submissions and posting here to say you've emailed the MakeMKV team is pointless.

Your disc has been added to the public keydb thanks to a disc dump provided by another user. Feel free to follow the steps linked in the opening post of this thread to configure MakeMKV to utilise the public keydb.
Public KeyDB Disc Submissions
  • LG/Buffalo/Asus drives only (Pioneer drives are not supported)
  • Please use file hosts, not forum attachments
  • If your disc dump is under 3MB, you need to manually include the MKB_RO.inf file from the AACS folder
