Hopefully for at least a month.

If someone joined this forum in 2019 and purchased the software, that would have worked out to around $1/month by now.

I've considered a purchase, but after the gross competence I've seen in completing sales, and the quite regular occurrence of one being unable to adhere to deadlines they set themselves, it really doesn't instill me with any confidence in the long term future for the product.

I think you mean "incompetence," and I bought MakeMKV over 10 yrs. ago and never had an issue.

Hi,
I now bought MakeMKV.
I received my key and it’s great, never to worry about a new beta key.

Thank you Mike, great work and I’m glad to support your work.

Greetings Micky.

Part of that is an optics issue; 1:1000 ratio of people who hop onto the forums to say:

Code: Select all

Wow, my purchase went great; awesome job!
vs

Code: Select all

Wtf, its been 5 minutes without a key after purchase & I haven't figured out how to click the 'contact us' button on the vendor's page to get this fixed!! What a SCAM!
Most of the 'I haven't received my key' posts are generally, quickly solved after reaching out to whoever does the sales part/checking spam.

Most people just (rightfully) will spend time posting to get something resolved instead of praising something that already works. In case it is needed, I can confirm that the purchasing was painless for me. As always manually setting the clock back on your system exists as a dev approved work-around while people wait for the key to be posted online.
