If you use FindVUK to start DVDFab the disc and the keys will be automtically uploaded to the keydb.cfg. So what's the benefit to post those here? Makemkv needs VUKs. So you need to post your dumps generated by Makemkv.
Correct, but as you can see DVDFab only gets unit keys for UHD discs. Makemkv didn't need to generate a dump for these as it was able to dump them, I was just hoping there would be a way for me to share files from the backup in order to have the VUK be computed and added. I only copied the whole keydb entry so it was clear which discs I was talking about. Having the additional info wouldn't be helpful for MakeMKV but there are other people who use the keydb so I was hoping the VUK would be able to computed for them.
Other programs are OK with the UKs which are uploaded by FindVUK.

To generate the VUKs needed for Makemkv you need to post your Makemkv dumps here using the template.

Hi. Checking to see if my request is malformed or in progress. I originally left out the link to the MKB_RO.inf file but that has been corrected. Thanks!

Hey gentile2226, your disc variant was added to the public keydb on October 12 but it is one of the unusual, unprotected discs which confuses MakeMKV. Make a protected backup of your disc, then delete or rename the "AACS" folder inside your backup. After that is done you should be able to open the protected backup with MakeMKV. See this post for the original discussion about your disc: Link

  • If your disc dump is under 3MB, you need to manually include the MKB_RO.inf file from the AACS folder

Hey el_vandragon, thanks for reaching out to fill in some gaps within the public keydb. As Coopervid noted, the usual process is to post a MakeMKV disc dump to this thread and from that dump file all of the disc keys can be calculated (MK, VUK, and UK) - unless you have a Pioneer disc drive.

Now you should be able to force MakeMKV to generate a disc dump for a natively supported title by temporarily disabling internet access and moving the _private_data.tar file in your MakeMKV data directory to a different location. This is the same MakeMKV directory into which you probably copied the keydb.cfg file. For the sake of generating the disc dump files quickly you can also temporarily move out the keydb.cfg file to any other directory.

Once _private_data.tar has been renamed and internet access disabled, try to open/process one of your discs in MakeMKV. It should generate the dump file. If the dump file is under 1MB, grab the MKB_RO.inf from the disc itself and follow the submission template in the opening post of this thread.

Feel free to put back the _private_data.tar and keydb.cfg files once you have generated all of your disc dumps.

Hey sandman_satx213, thank you for following the submission template. Your variant of After Hours was added to the public keydb on November 30. Because it shares a media key with another disc variant which was added to the public keydb on October 1, I didn't explicitly call out its inclusion. Such cases get absorbed into my line about how "All valid UHD discs dumps have been processed and incorporated into the public keydb" or "All valid submissions have been added to the public keydb". I still haven't settled on the final wording yet.

Just to be clear, if there were any issues with your submission I would've replied to your post.
