I think he is just working through the orders. Mine has a label printed it looks like, just waiting for it to ship. He has been responsive to emails!

Drive arrived safely, tested it briefly and everything seems to work correctly. Thanks Billy!
I thought he was still testing the firmware? Are they available to buy now?
Yes, check the original post in this thread. You will need to email Billy to place your order.

They are, he announced it a few posts ago. Driver works fine on linux and seems to do anything I want it to, but I did have trouble getting windows to do anything, windows says libredrive possible not enabled, but linux says enabled. Same machine, same software stack as far as BD is concerned. It did say the same on linux at first, but corrected itself shortly after.

Is this a known issue? The only meaningful difference I can think of is that I threw a trial key at makemkv on windows instead of the key I purchased out of laziness, but it's up to date and afaik there's no meaningful difference between trial keys and full ones other than expiration and old application versions not working. It's not a big deal, most of my use will be on linux, but it'd be nice to have some idea why that might be. I have a dump if that'd be helpful.

You would have to update SDF.bin manually on windows. Download it and put it in the MakeMKV data directory,
Cheers :D

Hello,
Long time user, first time writer. I was wondering if you still have some drives available. I would be interested in one.

I just got my drive and it works great! I am curious how it was made to work, though. I assumed it would've been cross-flashed with firmware from before November 22 but the firmware reads the actual drive model with firmware from 2024! I'd love a dumbed down version of what's done to make the drive UHD friendly...

I was frustrated trying to flash a BU40N, but it turned out to be the SATA to USB connector I was using. I got it flashed now. Thank you

What do you mean MakeMKV now supports all UHD Pioneers even on latest FW? Like if I find any Pioneer UHD drive on FB Marketplace I can purchase that and have you flash it? Looks like remote flashing is $25. Or would it need to be sent to you?

How do these XD08's compare to the other models you don't have in stock? Are these XD08's somehow not as ideal or not as good in any way when ripping compared to the BDR-S13U's or BDR-X13U's? I'm new to all this sorry and I just want to buy once and not buy a lesser version then realize I should have purchased a better one like mentioned in the last sentence but I don't know if they are actually better when it comes to ripping or just more premium quality physical product? Thank you.
