Make sure you check the force flash box.Tri0ptic wrote: ↑Thu Nov 13, 2025 6:06 pmThank you for the PM. When I start BDRFlash it says “No available devices found.” MakeMKV still sees it. There is no disc inside and it is closed. This is on Windows 11.
Without a disc, MakeMKV reports this:

What one? You need to copy and paste the drive info and libredrive info sections.thebryantfisher wrote: ↑Thu Nov 13, 2025 9:31 pmHi all
Thanks in advance for your help. Very new to all of this. I have been reading through the forums and there are many variations of similar drives and wanted to get a sense of whether this one if UHD capable.
Cheers

Re: Asus BW-16D1X-U
Thanks for the reply. Yes, it was on, etc. I tried different cables and I have tried 3 PCs. Finally my girlfriend’s ARM-based laptop worked and I was able to flash it. Just to be sure here is the new info from MakeMKV (running on the PC that BDRFlash does NOT work on) and a screenshot from BDRFlash after flashing (running on the ARM laptop). If you would not mind just verifying all is well… Thanks!

Re: Asus BW-16D1X-U
Go ahead with the download and you will be fine. This is a Pioneer not a LG.
Re: Asus BW-16D1X-U
Hey all. Long time lurker here.
I picked up this drive yesterday after my LG started to fail. It seems the working instructions are being pm'd out? Would someone mind fwding them to me?
Thanks

Re: Asus BW-16D1X-U
At a guess, I'd say the reason things are being sent via private messages has to do with the fact that "the fix" varies with the drive... and sending the WRONG "fix" to someone could brick their drive.
