I am going back and forth on this. Really wish you had a SATA based drive in stock, as that's really what I am after.
Re: Billycar11 Selling Flashed Pioneer UHD Drives USA only, Remote Flashing,Tested & Makemkv Discount Code
I don't "know" the model billycar11 is selling (slim-line vs. 5 1/4"), but if it is a 5 1/4" sized drive/chassis, there's a 99% chance you could remove the drive from the USB chassis & use it simply as a SATA drive. If it's a slim-line drive, those are SATA also (internal drive). You would need a slim-line -> 5 1/4" drive bay adapter for whatever computer you were going to put it into, and a SATA/power adapter cable (something like this: https://www.amazon.com/SATA-Optical-Dri ... B00D7SRREO)
The 5 1/4" Pioneer drives I have for sale are branded/in an ASUS USB chassis. Two screws removed & snap the case apart. Drive can be removed & used as an internal SATA drive. One buyer has done exactly this with two drives.
Thanks,
Frank

The model Billy has are the XD08's which are slimline with a flip top to pull the disc out (akin to old Discmans). Not something compatible with anything to put in a case.nicholfd wrote: ↑Fri Nov 07, 2025 7:50 pmI don't "know" the model billycar11 is selling (slim-line vs. 5 1/4"), but if it is a 5 1/4" sized drive/chassis, there's a 99% chance you could remove the drive from the USB chassis & use it simply as a SATA drive. If you have a 5 1/4" based ones, whether it is in an enclosure or not, then I'm definitely interested in what you have to offer. I didn't know you had any. When I last looked around, it seemed like no one had them in stock.

Mine are 5 1/4". See the links/threads in my signature for 5 1/4" ASUS branded USB drives. I have some with LG drives & some with Pioneer drives in them. I have both on hand - I update the first post in my thread periodically with stock & avaialability info.
Thanks,
Frank
