I have Alan Parson's On Air DTS disc. I was trying to make a backup to do a track rip with another software, but I get errors. Wasn't certain what was going on other than maybe better or older encryption.

That's a DTS audio cd, isn't it? Not a movie or tv show.

Yes, it’s a DTS audio disc. Those often use a nonstandard structure, so most ripping tools can’t read them properly. You might have better luck with a dedicated audio extractor like Exact Audio Copy or foobar2000.
