Great to hear that worked out. I'll add it to the list of weirdly unencrypted UHD titles...

Public KeyDB Disc Submissions
- LG/Buffalo/Asus drives only (Pioneer drives are not supported)
- Please use file hosts, not forum attachments
- If your disc dump is under 3MB, you need to manually include the MKB_RO.inf file from the AACS folder
Re: Public KeyDB Disc Submissions
Hello,
I'll give you an update.
So, I was able to read two discs.
But I can't decrypt 28 Years Later.
It doesn't seem to be included in the Key db .cfg.
Re: Public KeyDB Disc Submissions
It's this entry:
Code: Select all
0xE77E4797D5E234B5AAE62C1E7E170CBF33D0EA0E = 28_YEARS_LATER (28 Years Later - Blu-ray™) | D | 2025-07-25 | ...etc
Re: Public KeyDB Disc Submissions
I'm getting this today when I try to synchronize. Also posted in doom9 forum:
ERROR! #HTTPA_ERR_HEADERNOTFOUND
ERROR! #HTTPA_ERR_HEADERNOTFOUND
Re: Public KeyDB Disc Submissions
I can't seem to rip Zombieland, this one: https://www.blu-ray.com/movies/Zombiela ... ay/290022/
I've submitted it two times this year to the MakeMKV team.
Here's the AACS dump:

Who can help?

Are you telling me that it's in the .cfg file?
If so, I don't know why I can't decrypt it.
and i have the log copy:
Direct access mode is in use
Loading content hash table, verifying integrity of M2TS files.
This disc uses a newer version of AACS protection. Please inform us at http://www.makemkv.com/a/?FHbNX9jfQi3ST9...
AACS output file saved as C:/Sicherung/MKB_v82_28_Years_Later_E8D2.tgz
The volume key for the DVD/Blu-ray is unknown - the video cannot be decrypted
Opening the disc failed
Re: Public KeyDB Disc Submissions
Yes, and it's also been validated and so we know it is correct.

I believe you.
But as you can see, it can't be deciphered.
There must be a reason why it can't?
Re: Public KeyDB Disc Submissions
Most likely you are using non-standard directories for Makemkv. Read the first post of this thread and how to add keydb.cfg so makemkv can use it.
Re: Public KeyDB Disc Submissions
Hi Coopervid,
Thanks for your post. I've already done it and I've been able to decrypt two discs, so I assume it was correct.
It's only failing because it's 28 years later.
Re: Public KeyDB Disc Submissions
Have you updated the keydb.cfg recently? Using the synchronize.bat or KeydB_helper.exe if you are on Windows. If you use synchronize.bat you NEED also to copy the updated version to the .Makemkv directory. KeyDB_Helper does this automatically. However, like posted, I have issues today to connect.
Edit: The issue is gone and synchronize just worked.
Re: Public KeyDB Disc Submissions
I just downloaded keydb helper and the disc info says the following:Coopervid wrote: ↑Sun Oct 12, 2025 1:46 pmHave you updated the keydb.cfg recently? Re: Public KeyDB Disc Submissions
Use "synchronize" in KeyDB_Helper to get all new keys. Then try again. The disc IS in Keydb.cfg.
Re: Public KeyDB Disc Submissions
If you have a non-updated version of keydb.cfg using "synchronize" will add new keys. Afterwards use "disc info" and then it will tell you that the disc is now in your (updated) keydb.cfg while it may be missing now. The program checks only the downloaded version and not the version on the FindVUK server.
