It is a 212-EBK (desktop drive, firmware 1.02 / 2022-03-09, LibreDrive Status: Enabled).
So you say for standard full HD blu rays it is fine to upload those TGZ files? I can do that if it makes sense. That guide says no Pioneer drives...
As Mr Penguin noted the guide was originally intended for UHD titles and Pioneer disc dumps are not helpful in that regard.

Disc dump files created with certain Pioneer model/firmware combinations can be useful when it comes to AACS 1.0 (1080p) discs. The lack of a comprehensive list of suitable Pioneer drives made it easier to stick with a blanket rule that Pioneer drives should not be used to create disc dumps for submission.

Users do still occasionally submit Pioneer AACS 1.0 disc dumps and they will always be processed when possible even though they are discouraged.
Public KeyDB Disc Submissions
  • LG/Buffalo/Asus drives only (Pioneer drives are not supported)
  • Please use file hosts, not forum attachments
  • If your disc dump is under 3MB, you need to manually include the MKB_RO.inf file from the AACS folder

I have submitted the files to KeyDB and now it is working! Confirmed using MakeMKV offline just with the key.cfg.

I wonder what this means that MakeMKV could block it in the future:

For what it is worth your Pioneer 212-EBK is currently producing usable disc dumps for AACS 1.0 (1080p) Blu-ray discs. This may be blocked by a future update to MakeMKV but you are fine for now.

Glad to hear everything is working nicely.

The MakeMKV team added obfuscation to LibreDrive to prevent certain disc metadata values from being read by external people/companies. This is why UHD disc dumps produced with Pioneer drives generally cannot be used to generate keydb entries. The Pioneer obfuscation is distinct from the metadata obfuscation applied to disc dumps created with LG/Asus/Buffalo disc drives.

For certain Pioneer drives, such as the BDR-UD04 in the Verbatim 43888, the metadata obfuscation in LibreDrive was applied even more broadly. This prevents keydb records for both AACS 1.0 (1080p) and AACS 2.x (UHD) discs from being created.

In the future, it is possible that the MakeMKV team will expand the usage of obfuscation and this could impact your drive. My hope is that the MakeMKV team will drop the Pioneer metadata obfuscation so that LibreDrive becomes a bit more libre but I'm not optimistic. I understand the motivation which prompted the use of obfuscation and I don't believe there has been any improvement in that situation.
