Mac OS 26 Beta

Post by asr101 »

Has anyone been brave (foolish) enough to update to the beta of Mac OX 26 (Tahoe) and test MakeMKV on it?

Thanks for any responses.

I installed the macOS Tahoe 26.0 Release Candidate that was released on September 9. So far everything seems to be working normally using MakeMKV 1.18.1. I have used it on only one disc that was a 4K Blu Ray, and that one saved successfully.

Yup it's working just fine with the RC! Only detail I have noticed is the icon doesn't conform to the new design language.

Thanks for your updates! I was too busy to set up an external boot to test it this time around.

I just now tried it, and neither version 18.1 nor 18.2 would load. I got some language about make mkv being downloaded from the Web and could damage my machine, yadda yadda yadda, but I couldn't bypass it as I used to be able to do. I'm going to try install an earlier version of MacOS and see whether that works. If anybody knows of any work-arounds, I'd be most appreciative to learn then,

Presumably this method still works: Gatekeeper in macOS X 15 Sequoia
