Re: mkv transfare
No it's because your drive is formatted to FAT32 and as such it won't let you copy files over that are bigger than 4gb.sid123 wrote:hi when saving the ripped mkv file to my documents,i then try to send it to my verbatim 1 gb external hard drive but get a pop up saying file is to large. the file is only 6.5 gb is this because i am useing the trial beta version.

Re: mkv transfare
Yes, format the drive as NTFS.

Re: mkv transfare
Just take everything off of your external drive, format it to NTFS, and put your videos, etc. back on it. I own the PCH C-200 and I connect NTFS formatted hard drives to it via USB to play my media all the time.
As stated, the size limit is a limit of the FAT32 format, which must be what your hard drive is formatted in at the moment.

Re: mkv transfare
If you want to use a 3TB hard drive inside the PCH, check their compatibility list first to make sure the exact model of hard drive you want to use INSIDE the PCH is known to be compatible:
You should have no problem attaching as many additional USB hard drives as there are USB ports on the unit.
I also own the Onkyo TX-NR609. It's been a great receiver, and when I hook the PCH to it via HDMI, I can pass DTS-HD MA and TrueHD audio from my MKV files created with MakeMKV to it. The only problem I have is that some odd blu rays come with LPCM audio for the high definition audio and when creating MKVs of those movies with MakeMKV, the PCH refuses to play the audio. I'm told that MakeMKV will soon have a solution to this problem but in the meantime all movies with DTS-HD MA and TrueHD should work fine for you.
