Hello all,
New guy here trying to flash my drive, I tried unsuccessfully after following the guide for my slim LG, so I invested in an ASUS one, but cannot flash it due to it not being MT1959 Platform. I know one of the active users has been PMing people on how to get it done.
Any tips or guides I can follow for it?:

I purchased the same drive and would also like the solution. Thank you!
Re: Pioneer RS8F00
This one contains a Pioneer drive, not an LG-based drive. Billycar11 or CooperVid should be able to help you.
But there is a specific thread for the ASUS BW-16D1X-U ----> viewtopic.php?f=16&t=32872&p=183020#p183020

Re: Pioneer RS8F00
thank you @coopervid!! legend!!!
The drive now shows LibreDrive enabled as per below, however dvds are ok, but tried 2 Blu-rays and it starts off and after a little while seems to get stuck the power light blinks and after a little while just says: "0 titles saved, 27 failed""
Do you know why?

Re: Pioneer RS8F00
Most likely the drive is running out of juice and disappears for a moment. Could be caused by a dirty disc or simply not getting enough constant power.Madezuela wrote: ↑Thu Sep 18, 2025 7:47 pmthank you @coopervid!! legend!!!

1. Try cleaning the disc.
2. Use USB-C port if possible. If not, use USB 3 ports direct from motherboard (not case ports) or use an AC self-powered USB hub of at least 30W.
Cheers
