that's a nice util you made there :) helps to add the new stuff to the database file when a key is added
It's mostly just a pretty UI for FindVUK. Nalor did us all a favor with that one but the problem I was trying to solve with my front end was syncing the keydb to MakeMKV. The Disc Info function is useful for seeing what the status of your disc is in the keydb without having to manually do anything. I find it useful for my own discs to know what's supported and what isn't. And since people tend to get discs WAY sooner than I do by the time mine arrive they're almost all already in the keydb. lol
Sam, I suggest that the initial post should be edited and Windows users should be motivated / encouraged to use your tool frequently to avoid circumstances like those. @keydb_helper.
That's up to keydb_helper as this is their thread. But I think if more people used my tool to check their discs it might help people get their discs working faster and cut down on duplicate dump submissions. I don't want to clutter up this thread too much with discussion of my tool, though, as it's really theirs to help people with their discs.

Thank you.
Hey mich52, thank you for including your MKB_RO.inf file. The 5863 variant of Death Wish has been added to the public keydb.

Some new UHDs from Vinegar Syndrome:

Mixed Blood - ...

Hey buffalobossie, thanks for the new disc dump files. Your discs have been added to the public keydb. Oddly the media keys for your discs are shared with a few season 1 & 2 discs from the recent Knight Rider box set.

Good idea, I'm happy to update the initial post to make the link to SamuriHL's tool more prominent.

Hey quaytsar, the A86E variant of A Knight's Tale has been added to the public keydb.
Public KeyDB Disc Submissions
  • LG/Buffalo/Asus drives only (Pioneer drives are not supported)
  • Please use file hosts, not forum attachments
  • If your disc dump is under 3MB, you need to manually include the MKB_RO.inf file from the AACS folder

Dump of Coraline 4K Steelbook I see other posts and in the spreadsheet but this version doesn't seem to be on any list or my disc is messed up.

Your disk is probably fine, and already has a validated entry in KEYDB.cfg. I suspect your real problem is that your drive hasn't enabled LibreDrive yet:

Code: Select all

SDF v098: HL-DT-ST_BD-RE_BU40N_1.03_211810241934_MOEN1SK3030
...
002004:0000 Error 'Scsi error - ILLEGAL REQUEST:COPY PROTECTION KEY EXCHANGE FAILURE - KEY NOT ESTABLISHED' occurred while issuing SCSI command AD010..080002400 to device 'SG:dev_21:1'
DEBUG: Code 0 at |X'!q)-CE\{1Wk3sR:213130306
001003:0020 DEBUG: Code 0 at :7BN0KcFt[_f`wgGpG:121264395
001003:0020 DEBUG: Code 4 at :7BN0KcFt[_f`wgGpG:213130789
003306:0000 Can't read AACS VID from disc - most likely current AACS host certificate is revoked by your drive
Also, the MKB_RO.inf file you have provided separately is only 56 bytes long, and so contains no useful information. The AACS/MKB_RO.inf file from your physical UHD disk would be far more useful.

Sinners 4K Steelbook EU. MakeMKV wouldn't decrypt the disc, even with public keydb.cfg. So I thought I'd drop this on here.

Hi, if it's possible to add these JP blurays I would be very grateful.

MKB_v82_SLFV064_26AC.tgz
https://tmp.link/f/68a541a6ad067

MKB_v82_NPBD_2505_1_67D2.tgz
https://tmp.link/f/68a542b94f79e
Thank you for adding these! Unfortunately, the bluray associated with MKB_v82_SLFV064_26AC.tgz is still unable to be read. (I'm getting the "This disc uses newer version of AACS protection." error.) Is this related to the keyDB or something separate?

I'll update to the proper MKB_RO.inf file and I would love to know what more i can do for the LibreDrive because i followed everything I found and got it flashed/patched to work on all my other blu rays.
Here is a screenshot of my MakeMKV screen for my drive it shows its been patched and everything. I looked through the file for KEYDB.cfg but never found key/listing for a Coraline 4K with the same date or tag of E97B unless i'm just looking in the wrong place.

Have you checked whether the download link for this TGZ dump file works?

Only The Powers That MakeMKV know how LibreDrive actually works, but it does seem that sometimes it just fails to enable. And the only thing to do is to try again.

And for some unfathomable reason, the link which you claim is for your MKB_RO.inf file is actually for someone else's "Sinners" TGZ dump file.

Yeah I had scrolled up and copied the first google drive link thinking i grabbed the one I posted, it's properly this link. I guess i can try to repatch/reflash the drive which sucks.

I doubt you would need to reflash the drive! I only meant power-cycle it, and then re-instert the disk :).
