The volume key is unknown for this disc - video can't be decrypted

Post by Grahamdoh »

Ran into an issue with the latest batch of Eureka titles.
MakeMKV v1.18.1 darwin(x64-release) started
Optical drive "BD-RE TSSTcorp BDDVDW SE-506CB TS02 S1666YKG50018Rd" opened in OS access mode.
Using direct disc access mode
Loaded content hash table, will verify integrity of M2TS files.
This disc uses newer version of AACS protection. Please let us know about it by visiting http://www.makemkv.com/a/?udKpt+Giw3Jabt...
Saved AACS dump file as /Users/grahamdavidson/Library/MakeMKV/MKB_v82_TROUBLE_EVERY_DAY_BLU-RAY_2438.tgz
The volume key is unknown for this disc - video can't be decrypted
Failed to open disc
Any Help or ideas. Running this on a mac.

Email that dump to svq@makemkv.com.

AACS v82 is 'special' and requires submitting dumps just like UHD. https://forum.makemkv.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=172232#p172232

You can also submit the data to the public KeyDB.

Yes. The folks who run the KeyDB are often faster than the hashed key machinery that powers MakeMKV directly. MakeMKV can use both its internal hashed key mechanism and the public KeyDB, so it doesn't hurt to set up keydb and make the dump available for them as well.
