Win11 KB5062663 Breaks & KB5063875 Restores - FYI

KB5062663 is a Windows 11 Cumulative Update for 2025-07, and KB5063875 The official version of that update dated 2025-08.

I installed KB5062663 out of curiosity, and suddenly MakeMKV had all sorts of read errors just loading a disc. I was able to get MakeMKV installed on my MacOS that was originally not working a month ago, and continue on.

Today, the Win11 PC wanted to install KB5063875. So, I did and tried MakeMKV, again. Success!

Just a heads up to the other Windows users out there, in case you did the same and MakeMKV suddenly had issues. After more than 2 decades of being in IT (before retiring), I have learned to deal with this stuff.

Nope... Did another disc and got: 'ILLEGAL REQUEST:READ OF SCRAMBLED SECTOR WITHOUT AUTHENTICATION'
