1. If I order from you and something goes wrong, how/where is the best method of contacting you?

2.. I am interested in either the Pioneer BDR-XS07TS or the Pioneer BDR-XS07TUHD. I looked at the differences you listed. I'm not exactly sure what the AACS 2.0 Crypto module is, is this a good thing to have, or no?

3. Are these Pioneer drives plug and play? Or would I still need any software?

Differences between the Pioneer BDR-XS07TUHD and the BDR-XS07TS.

1). The BDR-XS07TUHD can be mounted vertically and horizontally, whereas the BDR-XS07TS can only be mounted horizontally.

2). The AACS 2.0 Crypto module is installed on the BDR-XS07TUHD

3). The BDR-XS07TUHD is Black, and the BDR-XS07TS is Silver.

4). There is no bonus software with the BDR-XS07TS.

5). THE BDR-XS07TUHD has a USB-C connection and a conversion adapter for a USB-A connection. The BDR-XS07TS normally only has a USB-Type A to USB Type C connection. We now include a USB Type C to USB Type C as part of 10% discount deal.

In fact, after a couple of days of owning it I placed an order for a second to halve the ripping time required for my collection! The drives came very well packaged (I wonder what Asmcom's budget is for 'fragile' packing tape as both parcels were covered with it!) and I'm glad I got the carrying case to keep them dust free when not in use.

As for our “fragile” tape budget… let’s just say we keep the tape manufacturer in business. Some say our parcels could survive a small asteroid impact, but we haven’t tested that yet! Glad to know the packaging (and the carrying case) will keep your drives safe and dust-free for years to come.

Yes, we received your email ; thank you for getting in touch. Our store is currently closed for 4 weeks and will reopen on 18th September 2025.

We can confirm that Pioneer Blu-ray drives will be in stock when we reopen. Pioneer is widely regarded as the most reliable brand for ripping and playback, making them the best choice if you’re replacing your old Asus drive.

Hello Everyone,

Unfortunately I am back in hospital with a serious infection and have had surgery 2 days ago. So just letting everyone know that we felt it was better to take the website down as I am not fit to stand or get out of bed with my illness. We of course will support all our customers and have a team of volunteers to help with any ongoing support issues.

We did have a strange ebay return today from a eBay customer who started a return for a Archgon drive saying the model we sent him was not a UHD model. Their exact words was:

"I ordered MD-8107S-U3, which rips 4K DVD movies. The item sent is the MD-8107-U3, which is not compatible with MakeMKV or DBFav software"

To clarify the model number we sent was as follows:

MD-8107S-U3YC-UHDB-S ( This is actually the UHD Silver Model) on Firmware 1-00DE.

The black model part number is MD-8107S-U3YC-UHDB-K

So the customer started a return for a non UHD model even those we request all customer to contact us if there is an issue instead of starting a return. As any of our customers know on this forum we only sell models that support UHD discs.

If you are the eBay customer and you happen to see this post please send us a PM or email and we will tell you what you are obviously doing wrong.

Sorry we had to close the website down. We still have Pioneer drives, Slot Loaders, Top Loaders and Tray loading drives.
