I just made my purchase, took about five minutes to get my key, no issues
I have not been so fortunate. I purchased my license key over 5 hours ago through PayPro Global using PayPal and promptly got a confirmation email saying the transaction was complete, but that I had to contact support@makemkv.com to get my license key, which I immediately did. No response. I subsequently got a separate email receipt from PayPal. I sent a followup email to support@makemkv.com about an hour ago. Again, no response. Despite you getting yours within 5 minutes, I'm afraid that I'm not so lucky because they're either on vacation (it is August 1st), or they're really busy with people that waited until expiration day to purchase it! I have a LOT of discs I'd like to rip ...
Sounds like we're all in the same boat. I'm guessing they had a set number of keys and they ran out.
Wild, i can confirm that i got two separate emails for the transaction though

The same as the previous posters, I successfully purchased my license key 16 hours ago, immediately forwarded the receipt to support requesting the actual key, as directed, and have not had a reply yet.

I understand there's only a small team / one individual behind this product, but this surge in purchases was totally predicatble, so, it's surprising that there's nobody ready to process the key requests.

Hi All, I also pulled the trigger today and bought the paid version.
Besides the invoice from PayPro Global I also haven‘t received anything further. However I saw the MakeMKV company is listed in Poland and there is now Holiday season. Also it is the weekend and most companys close Sat. and Sun. in the EU. So I will be waiting to see when the licence code hits my email box. Not the best timing and perhaps they just missed to communicate the annual leave. We will see, I remain positive. You all a nice Weekend guys.

Sounds like it's not a good idea to purchase while the beta key is expired, since it would appear there's a rush for purchases.

I'm interested in hearing about how smoothly it goes once the beta key is back up.
I feel exactly the same way. First, I want to see the beta key, then I'll buy it. Because something could happen and you might never get a key. But that's also why I want to buy the key, because what happens if Mike suddenly loses interest, or God forbid something happens to him, then there are no more keys and the program is dead for all of us.
Here's an interesting question then: Suppose I buy the key, and then, most unfortunately, something happens to Mike.

Is the program good to run forever, or could some verification server go offline at some point and the program becomes unusable?

Considering the program checks the expiration date using the system clock of the computer and not a server somewhere, and a permanent key obviously wouldn't have an expiration date, the program will likely keep working for as long as it works with the OS it's on.

But... without updates, eventually, you wouldn't be able to rip future Blu-rays because of outdated encryption keys embedded in the program.

So, the answer is yes and no, the program will run, but it wouldn't support the discs of the future... making it useless.

I seem to be in the same boat as others here. I bought my key yesterday and still have not received it. I even tried DMing Mike yesterday, but still no word.

Same here. I purchased the license yesterday, sent an email to support@makemkv.com with the PayPro invoice, but still no key.

Same here. Bought yesterday, same emails as described but no key sent yet. In the email we send is there any particular information we need to give apart from your name?

Looks like even the purchasing link is now down, I'm guessing looking at this thread that its probably a case of waiting for the problems to get sorted out.

Was going to buy a key just now but after reading this thread, seems like it might make more sense to purchase a key after the beta is restored... just to be sure someone is attending to the licensing.

Like many of you I'm sure, I noticed that the activation key for the beta version wasn't available yet, so I tried an looked into just purchasing a license.

Hopefully, Mike is ok and either the beta key or ability to purchase a key will return soon.

Agreed! Looks like his last post to the message board was on May 6th... so it's been a while.

I made my purchase on Friday 1st of August 2025 via PayProGlobal, received the invoice, contacted support@ as described and am waiting for license key. I am really sure it will arrive, but it seems, that via PayProGlobal there's no automatism as via other payment methods.

I'll wait till the end of the week an will then contact support@ again.

My debit card company called me about a fraud alert on my purchase on Friday. The charge originated from Japan, which I found unusual. I hope Mike Admin is alright and we get our license key. This is a great tool, and I am on hold until then.
