"bombs near completion" indicates that the rip starts, but fails due to a read error. Is that what you're experiencing?

Did you try downloading the latest KEYDB.cfg file, copying it into MakeMKV's data directory (i.e. where MakeMKV also writes its TGZ dump files) and restarting MakeMKV?

And if that doesn't work, could you upload your TGZ dump file into (say) OneDrive or Google Drive please, and then reply with a public download link?

I preordered the UK 4K and mine ripped fine but I might have been using the public keydb. I can't test it for you because I disliked the movie so I sold it but it did work fine for me at release.

I'm also having problems ripping the Criterion UK UHD of Anora--MakeMKV failing right at 99%. I'm attaching the log if that helps.

Found the issue with mine. Purchased a new UHD Criterion and worked. Was a bad disc, sent it back for exchange. Before sending back, wash it with dawn, rinse and dry with static free cloth. Sometimes it has residue that you can’t see, and this helps. It worked for some Alfred Hitchcock UHDs I had, but it is due to the disc, almost 100% of the time; bad disc during manufacturing was my issue.
