"Copy Protection Key Exchange Failure" Error while ripping UHD discs

Hi,

I have an LG BP50NB40 drive flashed to the BU400N 1.03 firmware. I have been ripping discs in this drive successfully, but when I put in a Hobbs and Shaw UHD disc today (with an AACS v72 encryption), I got an error message:

Error 'Scsi error - ILLEGAL REQUEST:COPY PROTECTION KEY EXCHANGE FAILURE - KEY NOT PRESENT' occurred while issuing SCSI command A40..002000800 to device 'SPTI:\Device\CdRom1'
Error 'Scsi error - ILLEGAL REQUEST:COPY PROTECTION KEY EXCHANGE FAILURE - KEY NOT ESTABLISHED' occurred while issuing SCSI command AD010..080002400 to device 'SPTI:\Device\CdRom1'
Can't read AACS VID from disc - most likely current AACS host certificate is revoked by your drive

Subsequently, any UHD disc I put in, regardless of AACS encryption version, stalls with that error while trying to read the disc. I am on MakeMKV version 1.18.1, and this is the disc and drive information as reported by MakeMKV:

Likely a power error use a higher powered USB port or get high powered USB hub 35+ watts

I have been using this drive with 2 USB 3.0 ports for the past year and was able to rip UHD discs in that time frame, so I don't think that is an issue. Also, since I posted this issue, I installed a trial of DVDFab and it was able to rip the disc, but MakeMKV is still giving me the same errors. I can rip Blu-ray discs fine though, it's just all the UHD discs that are giving me this error, even ones that I have successfully ripped before with the exact same setup.
