Hey, just passing by to thank you and everyone on this site, especially: Pat LaVarre, >NIL:, Agent Smith, Liggy, Mike Chen, ala42, czary2mary, jadburner, cvs, alexx12345, seku, Leman39, wujooj, jurireal, alphaville0527, SnowFox, Kirby, haysey70, Majestic12, elflorek, floppydumper, redwine, cryptojoe3737, TeddyRaspin, Billycar11, asmcom, Coopervid (thanks again), payalnik23, and aliter404.
Later, after reading the pinned post, I discovered that this drive was too old to be flashed, but with my third drive (WH14NS40), I managed to flash it to ---> WH16NS60. Thanks again, everyone. You’re awesome!
Just one question: I noticed that there are 3 different programs to flash the drives (BDRFlash, makemkvcon, and SDFGUI). All three worked correctly, but I just want to know if there are any differences between them. Thanks again, folks!

There is BDRFlash for Pioneer drives. Makekmvcon and the GUI for it written by Marty is SDFTool which uses Makemkvcon for LG / ASUS drives.edmsms wrote: ↑Tue Jun 10, 2025 9:49 amHey, just passing by to thank you and everyone on this site, especially: Pat LaVarre, >NIL:, Agent Smith, Liggy, Mike Chen, ala42, czary2mary, jadburner, cvs, alexx12345, seku, Leman39, wujooj, jurireal, alphaville0527, SnowFox, Kirby, haysey70, Majestic12, elflorek, floppydumper, redwine, cryptojoe3737, TeddyRaspin, Billycar11, asmcom, Coopervid (thanks again), payalnik23, and aliter404.

Yes. It's a slim drive. The warning is meant not to flash firmware of full size drives to slim drives and vice versadraughthorse wrote: ↑Sun Jun 22, 2025 9:55 pmare you sure... im reading the uhd drive flashing guide and it tells me specifically not to crossflash between asus and lg because it will brick my drive. is there something im missing?Coopervid wrote: ↑Sun Jun 22, 2025 2:11 pmYes. Hi all,
I have this drive model also. Does it Support 4K Blurays out of the box, or do I need to flash it? If so, where do I find the correct firmware?
