Could you also provide your dump file here please, either as an attachment or via a download link? This would allow The Powers That KEYDB to try to support your disk as well.NotaNumber wrote: ↑Tue Jun 10, 2025 3:18 pmMKB20_v77_The_War_of_the_Worlds_(1953)_-_Remastered_5411.tgz

Thanks, and could you also provide the actual MKB_RO.inf file from your disk's AACS/ directory please? The copy of this file inside the TGZ dump file has been truncated to only 56 bytes, which makes it unusable to anyone except MakeMKV.

Thanks. The latest KEYDB.cfg file contains a Unit Key for this disk, but not a Volume Unique Key (VUK). Do you also have access to a non-Pioneer UHD drive please, to provide the final piece of information so that The Powers That KEYDB can try to calculate the VUK? Otherwise, you could still use Xreveal to help MakeMKV decrypt your disk.

Unfortunately all I have is a Pioneer drive. I'll check out Xreveal, thanks for the help.

Re: War of the Worlds (1953) dump submitted
I have this War of the Worlds 4K disc and have experienced the same problem.
I see the following in MAkeMKV....
Using LibreDrive mode (v01.0 id=2AE09FD4F501)
Using direct disc access mode
Loaded content hash table, will verify integrity of M2TS files.
Saved AACS dump file as C:\Users\mike/.MakeMKV/MKB20_v77_The_War_of_the_Worlds_(1953)_-_Remastered_786B.tgz
The volume key is unknown for this disc - video can't be decrypted
Failed to open disc
I have a Pioneer drive.
I don't really understand the messages in this thread in particular about Xreveal. I have installed it, download keydb.cfg. I don't know how I can extract the movie using this.

The public KEYDB.cfg file would need to contain your disk's Unit Key before Xreveal could decrypt your disk. Could you upload your TGZ dump file into (say) OneDrive or Google Drive please, and then reply with a public download link? Because you have a Pioneer drive there is no guarantee that this would help, but it might still be worth trying.dillspooch wrote: ↑Mon Sep 22, 2025 4:27 pmI don't really understand the messages in this thread in particular about Xreveal.
